Turn the key
The second step is turn the key. This step leads to a spirit being reborn of God. When sin came into this world, spiritual death (spiritual disconnection) followed. This is why Jesus had to tell us how to reconnect with God the Father in heaven. Jesus said we must be born of God’s Spirit (John 3:5-16 NKJV). It is important to differentiate a person born of God’s Spirit from a person who is religious. A religious person is one who attends religious activities but spiritually disconnected from God. This is sad because God is a Spirit being. Using the key method (mouth speaks from the heart), we say (not think) the prayer below and we will experience being born-of-God’s Spirit. We have power in our words.
“For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.” Romans 10:10 NIV
“But to all who believed Him and accepted Him, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12 NLT
Lord Jesus, I believe that you are the only begotten Son of God who died on the cross for the sins of the world. You rose from the dead and ascended to heaven seated on the right hand of God the Father. Please forgive me. I open my heart to you and receive you as my Savior. I surrender my life to you and be my Lord from this day forward. Amen!
Repeating this prayer until a sense of knowing in the inside that Jesus is Savior and Lord is very important. This is the experience of a born of God’s Spirit. There is now an ability to engage the born-again spirit with God’s Word. This new spirit within has ability to ‘see’ in the invisible realm accurately. There is no guessing in life because there is a connection made in the spirit (unseen) realm where God is. Indeed, this is a winning ticket!
“It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.” John 6:63 NKJV
“But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.” 1 Cor 2:14 NKJV
