Words are powerful
I have recently discovered through meditating the word of God the reason why I have NO power in my words. The bible says in Proverbs 18:21 NKJV “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.” So, I refrained myself from speaking bad words such as cussing or cursing and most especially from gossiping. I painstakingly kept my words when making commitments. I also frequently examined if my heart was right before the Lord. BUT, I have not received the expected power of spoken words. The Holy Spirit gently spoke in my spirit…the little white lies that I continue to practice is the main reason!!! Why would I continue to engage in little white lies? FEAR of not pleasing man (Galatians 1:10).
