Dilang Anghel literally means Tongue of Angel.  Wishing that a good word comes to pass, one says “mag dilang anghel ka sana” among Filipinos. There is an understanding that a messenger from God speaks the truth and it comes to pass when received.   In the bible, God’s angels visited specific individuals. Mama Mary (Mother Mary) was one of them. When an angel named Gabriel visited her, she knew that the message came from God. She responded by saying, “Let it be done to me according to your word.” Luke 1:28 NKJV

Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it will eat its fruit. Proverbs 18:21 NKJV

Another winning ticket to building a great life is understanding what makes our words powerless. When one does not fulfill the words spoken (breaking a promise) or speaks false witness (gossiping)  in our daily living, then there is no strength to any of our declaration.

The bible is filled with God’s Word that helps us build a great life and declaring God’s Word is similar to Dilang Anghel.  When we are confronted against a situation designed to bring about any type of ruin such as conflicts in relationship, we can declare God’s Word of restoration.  This is simple but hard to do because it requires the power of spoken words.

“Just say a simple, ‘Yes, I will,’ or ‘No, I won’t.’ Anything beyond this is from the evil one” Matthew 5:37 NLT
