A traditional Filipina mother is described as Ilaw ng Tahanan (Light of the Home) and the father as the foundation. Light dispels darkness and allows one to build a great life. How can a mother truly become the Light of the Home? She must a have spirit born of God through Jesus. The bible says Jesus is the Light of the World (Matthew 4:16). In Christ, a person becomes the light of the world (Ephesians 5:8). A mother as Ilaw ng Tahanan is the one who has a vision for her family. What is your vision for your family?
To keep an oil lamp lit, there must be continuous supply of oil. For believers, it’s God’s Word. Soooo important to never run out (Matthew 25:1-13).
