Grief  is an emotional response to a significant loss.  It’s when you feel heartbroken.

Learning to recover from grief is an essential great life builder skill.

When we get injured and sustain a deep skin laceration that continues to bleed, we go to the hospital to get it sutured resulting in recovery.

What do we do when we have a broken heart that continues to bleed?  We intellectualize and think we can get over an emotional wound.  This is a trap.  Grief is emotional.  It’s not intellectual and it’s not spiritual.

We need courage to engage emotionally because it is looked down upon by those who do not understand the process.  A loss is not replaceable as we think.  We grieve (feel) through a loss and then we recover.  Otherwise, unresolved grief hides as depression or anxiety.

A great life builder must learn the process of grief recovery.  Here’s a link to grief recovery.
